DRIVER’S FATAL ERROR. (Australian Press Association.) MELBOURNE, February 5. Evidently mistaking the pier for the bridge, a driver of a motor-car plunged over the end into the. sea at Mordialloe. The driver, Royden Patrcrson, aged forty-nine, and a passenger, Mrs Ivy Darcv, aged forty,_ were drowned. TIMPLK DROWNING FATALITY. 'PERTH, February 5. When a farm hand at Shaekleton. himself unable to swim, triou to teach n liny, both were drowned. The boy’s father also lost his life in a vain attempt to rescue them. Hie victims were Allan Elliott, aged twelve, his father, H. Elliott, aged 44, and L. Doggett, aged thirty.
