OUTSIDERS AT NAPIER. (By Telegraph, Per Press Association.) NAPIER, February 6. The Chairman of the Napier Unemployment Committee, Mr Barnard, M.P., has issued an official warning against the unemployed coming to Napier, where there were more workless men than could be coped with, especially in the building trades. As the result of so many outsiders having arrived, the unemployed are consequently warned against coming to Napier. OBITUARY. GISBORNE, February i>. Obituary—Vincent Barker, aged 60, a barrister, sheepfarmer,, Freezing Coy. Director, and prominent resident of Poverty Bay for many years. He was the fifth son of the late Percrvai Barker, and was born in Dunedin and educated privately entering law as a young man. Later started sheep farming with four brothers and was substantially successful. He its survived by a widow and four daughters.
