RATES ON PARISH HALL. MAGISTRATE’S DECISION. ELTHAM, February 3. Reserved judgment in a case of interest to municipalities throughout the; Dominion was delivered in Eltliam toJay by Mr R. W. Tate, S.M. 'file Taranaki Power Board sued Archbishop Redwood for the sum ot about £8 for rates due on the Cath l'c Parish Hall property. Judgment was given for plaintiffs. The main point it issue was whether the building was used solely for school purposes, and the magistrate ruled that, in point of law, the buildijitr was not used solely for this purpose.
