GENERAL TARIFF
BRITISH DECISION.

LONDON, Feb. 3
The “Daily Express” says:—“We understand that the Government, on Thursday will announce in the House of Commons, firstly, the adoption or a general ten per cent British tariff on all foreign imports, except a few selected raw materials and some foodstuffs ; and, secondly the free entry of all Dominion and Colonial imports.” The panel' adds: “The next move rests with the Dominions and the Colonies, which should try to match Britain’s historic gesture. The Dominions should impose a ten per cent tariff on all foreign imports and grant the Dominions’ goods a preference, while the Dominions also might gracefully adjust their preferential tariffs in the same degree.
