RECORD AT CHRISTCHURCH

CHRISTCHURCH, February 3,
Ait the East Christchurch Chib’s swimming carnival to-night, L. G. .'Moorhouse made a new, Australian and New Zealand record for the 220 yards back stroke. He covered the distance in 2 minutes 53 3-5 seconds. The previous 'best time for Au.Tvalia and New Zealand was 2 minutes 59 seconds.
