TO NIGHTS DANCE. The tennis dance in All Saints H .11 will take place to-night definitely what ever the weather conditions, and should attract a large attendance. THE TOURNEY. Weather permitting to-morrow morning the championship events will he played to a conclusion, and the handicap events played as far as possible In the event of play being prevented to-morrow the tournament will be abandoned. Younrr Allington players won both junior and intermediate singles this morning at the New Zealand tennis championships. Semi finals in the senior events are mostly being played this afternoon, hut in the women’s singles, Miss Har* tigan (N.S.W.) entered the final by heating Miss Valkonburg (N.S.W.) 0-3, 6-4. Intermediate singles.—Rousiell (Wellington) heat Stevens (Auckland) o—o 6-0. Boys’ singles.—Bedford (Wellington) heat Chalmers (Auckland) 3—6. 6 —2, 6—4. Auckland and Wellington women’s contest for the Nunnelley Casket, opened with two wins for Wellington. Mrs Dykes heat Miss Marjorie MacFarlane 6 —o, 6—2, and Miss Nicholls beat Miss Ramsay 6—2. 6—2.
