The Unf ed States Government went on record as ibeing against any inflation of the. currency (as cabled on January 25th) when Mr Mellon Unit'd Stuff's Treasurer, informed Senator Walsh, of Massachusetts, Unit the Treasury opposes the suggestion lor a billion dollar bond issue against which a 'billion dollars’ worth ol notes could bo issued.
