THE HOKITIKA CHUB. WEST COAST CHAMPIONSHIPS. A meeting of the Hokitika Amateur Swimming Club was held at the Comity Chambers on Tuesday evening when there were present: Messrs M. Houston Senr. (Chairman), A. H. Pawn, R,, Lynn, E. Heenan, V. Bergamini, M. McGavin, F. Rochford, J. Coulson, AY. Andrews and H. Houston Jar. The correspondence included letters from the Secretary of the X.Z. Swimminer Association, regarding particulars governing the long plunge record.—Received. From the Secretary, Hokitika School Committee, conveying thanks to the Club for placing the baths at their disposal and also for arranging classes of instruction for the school children. From the Secertary of the West Coast Centre notifying the allocation of the Senior West Coast Championships to the Hokitika Club. In this connection the Secretary was instructed to write to the Centre for full particulars. It was also decided to write to ithe Centre regarding the medal won by Miss L. Staines for the Ladies’ ’ Championship last year, as no word i had been received from the Runanga { Club. j It was resolved. t° hold a Grand. Novelty Carnival at the baths on I Thursday, February 11th., for which j a programme was drafted, particulars to lie announced at a Inter date.
