SUM]•; NOTABLE CLIMBS. (From our own Correspondent). W A 1-11.0 GORGE, January 25. Some interesting climbs have been aeeompi.slicd during the last week in •the Franz Jos. f regions by Miss .Lillian Familton of Oaiuaru. After crossing Graham's Saddle, from the Hermitage to Aimer Hut, on the 17th instant, with Guide T. Sheeran, Miss Familton made the ascent of ihe two peaks of the .Minarets, 10,220 fe.t, and traverse of Delabeche, 10,058 feet. At Aimer Hut she was joined by Chief Guide Refer Graham, and on the 18th ei|i>ssed over Newton Pass to a high bivouac on Pioneer Ridge at ilie head of Ihe Fox, and on the 19th climbed ■Glacier Peak, 9867 feet. On the 20th use. tided Mount Le.ndenfcldt, 10,'150 feet and r. liirnetl to Waiho. Miss Familton is now setting out for the Copeland Valley accompanied by Chief Guide Peter Graham and Guide T. Sheiran, where she hopes with suitable weather to make an attempt on Mount Softon. On Saturday 23rd, Lendenfeldt was also (ilimbed by Mr Rav of Timarn, accompanied by Guides J. Cox and Gibson of Franz Josef Guiding Staff.
