RESOLUTIONS OF CONFERENCE,

WELLINGTON, January 21. There was a special meeting of the Trotting Conference to-day. The proceedings were in committee. The following resolution was carried : “That the Club s be requested to nominate eight members, six from the South (Island and two from the North Island, as candidates for membership of the 'New Zealand Trotting Association. (Such candidates shall be balloted for by the clubs in accordance with Rule ■39.”
The Conference also considered an application under Rule 29, to consider a letter on behalf of R. M. Morten, re the Ngingongingo case. Mortem's counsel addressed the meeting. The following resolution was carried: “That this Conference affirms its confidence in the President of the Conference and in the Judges appealed by him; and resolves I hat no action he taken upon the application of Mr Morten under Rule 29.”
A motion was lost that under Rule 29 the. case be heard by three judges, to be appointed as provided by Rule 25.
