ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. CHRISTCHURCH, January 20. There was no great change in prices at the sale of live stock to-day. There was a small yarding oi store sheep, and a dragging market, especially for wetlcrs. Two tooth ewes were selling freely. - There was a full yarding of fat .sheep, mostly ol ewes. r l he market opened bri.sklv on the basis of the closing rates of last week. Aged ewes were easier, best heavy wethers sold to 21s Id, prime heavy 17s to 18s 6d. prime 14s 6(1 to Ids 6(1, medium 11s 6d to 13 s , light from 9s. Beat heavy ewes sold up to 14s lOd, prime heavy 12s to 15s ,6d, prime 10s to 11s 6d. medium 7s 3d to 9s, light from ss. There wa s a large yarding of fat lambs, with keep competition for the best quality at values a shade over the schedule. Best heavy lambs sold up to 19,s 10d, prime 17s to 18s, medium 15s to 16s 6d. light from 12s. inferior from Bs. There was a large yardng of store iambs. The demand "'as l' 1 ’ 111 f° r the better consignments. Dost long wool lambs fetched Os (id to 7s Gd, extra good to 9s. l ,, ine-woolled lambs averaged from os (id to Os Gd, with 7s 9d 1 01 the top price for this grade. There was a smaller yarding ol heel, hut it was sufficient fur requirements. The quality was good. /I here was no quotable dill'erenee in values, winch were: Host heavy steers from 211 os to Cl2 7s Gd ; prime haml.v weights 28 Ids to 29 7s (id. medium 2G ds to 27 : light* from 23 I< s (id. There was a medium yarding of fat pigs. Porkers and bnenners were firmer.
