OLD TIME ROBBERY

THEFT OF £847. TWO MEN CHARGED. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) INVERCARGILL, January 20. William Leonard 'Brewer, single, aged 24 years, was charged at the Magistrate’s Court with stealing a hag containing £847 the property of the Ocean Reach Freezing Company. The latter charge was also preferred against Thomas Harold Brower, married, aged 33 years. Remands for a week were granted. Counsel for Thomas Brewer applied for bail, which was fixed at £IOOO in self and a surety of a similar amount.
