The South African cricketers commenced their second match against Tasmania to-day in splendid weather, on an excellent wicket. Tasmania won the toss and batted. They made a good start, scoring 82 for tile first wicket, but afterwards the bowlers obtained the mastery, and all avere out for 161 runs. .Smith Africa lost Mitchell for a single, and Christy for none, this being his first duck foi the tour, and there were thus two out for four. Dalton, off the first ball from Nash, got ail ugly hit oil tlie jaw. He was assisted from the field. The third wicket fell for seven, and the fourth one for twenty-live.
