“JUST A GIGOLO.” A motion picture star who had to be • taught how to dance! This strange phenomenon was revealed at the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios during filming of William Haines’ j newest picture, “Just a Gigolo,” which is coming to the Princess Theatre tonight (Saturday.) While Haines obviously was ablo to manoeuvre on a dance floor without making himself ridiculous, it seems that dancing played so small a part i n the comedian’s private life that he was totally unfamiliar with the most popular modern steps. Since h© has the role of a gigolo in his latest vehicle, this situation naturally would not do for if there is anything a gigolo must know it is the latest in ballroom antics. So the studio engaged a dancing instructor for its star and report is inside of half a dozen lessons Haines was ready for the most ambitious stepping competition. “Just a Gigolo” is based on the Belasco stage success, “Dancing Partner, ’ Irene Purcell, who had the feminine lead in the play, fills the same role in the talkie version. Also News, Comedy and Revue. ‘
