She had not been there long when she became aware that somebody was in the house. Going inside, Airs Freeman found a man opening the window of one- of the rooms. Warning the man to be gone, Airs Freeman let him out the front door, and be lost no time in making his exit. He was l ist seen hurrying across the school grounds nearby. Air Freemau and a detective made a search for the burglar, hut after some time gave up without having found a trace of him.
The man had forced an entry into the" house through a window in the pantry. He had evidently decided to take his time in making a selection of the valuables, grting from room to room On the kitchen table was a camera, belonging to Air Freeman, which had been taken from another room. It was evidently the nucleus of the haul and the burglar probably intenedd to return and collect the goods after nightfall. .Disarranged furniture and opened drawers in various rooms were indications that the man had made a thorough search through the house. Due to Mrs Freeman’s timely arrival on the scene, however, nothing was .actually taken out of the house. <
