Following on the letter sent by the President of the New Zealand Trotting Association to the various trotung clubs throughout the Dominion, the President of the New Zealand Trotting Conference,. Mr H. F. Nicoll, has addressed to the same bodies the tollowing letter:— “You will have read in the newspapers, if you have not alreardy ro ceived,. a copy of the statement issued by the President of the New Zealand Trotting Association in ry:nsection with the Ngingongingo case. The contentions as set forth on bellia-f of the Association may he open to criticism, but it is desirable that the prestige and authority of the New Zealand Trotting Association should he upheld so far as may be possililo, and it would rjot lie seemly that any argument should ensue in connection with the resignations of the majority of the members of the Association, until the matter has been discussed and finalis'd by the New Zealand T rolling Conference. The Executive of the Conference are satisfied that the delegates appointed by the clubs- to attend the special meeting of the Conference on January 21st. will be able to deal with the business on its merits when the facts are placed before, thorn.
