WOOL SALE
PRICES AT WANGANUI
(By Telegraph—Per Press Association)
WANGANUI, January 15.
At the wool sale held here to-day, buyers were present from all consuming centres. Bidding was animated witlijn restricted limits, and the offer was a fair character, Bradford being the most active buyer. Prices, taking style into consideration, were at par with Wellington and Napier and it is satisfactory to find that at a sale where good super lots were not prevalent, competition was strong enough to prevent flagging in prices. Clips showing seed were not in favour. Prior to the completion of the official range of prices as compared with the last sale in Wanganui on April 20th., the following changes are noted:—
Extra fine crossbred, 48/50, id to ;Jd down; fine crossbred, 46/48, lid; medium crossbred, 44/4G, 2d down; coarse m shred, 40/44, 2d down; low crossbred. 36/40, 2ld down. Lambs, average ,|d down; bellies and pieces no change; crutchings, no change.
