BOXING
HOKITIKA CLUB. A meeting was held on Wednesday evening. Present:—Messrs F. Ballinger (chair), R. Collett, R. Furness, It. Bell, M. McGa-vin, 0. Hahn, J. Atkinson, D. Breeze and Secretary. Apologies were made for Messrs F. McGregor and ,1. Stafford. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The balance sheet for the Boxing Night tourney was adopted. The credit balance wau 18s 4d. Motions of thanks were passed to Drs. Hart and Wilson, Referee A. Behan, and Press. The annual meeting was fixed for February Bth. At the conclusion of the business lor the evening, to mark a recent important event, the members with much comment and gusto gave their whole hearted assistance to the ceremony of “wetting the baby’s head.”
