The Air Ministry, Handley Page, and other aircraft firms have decided to experiment with an aeroplane stabiliser, the invention of B. Roberts of Auckland. Many pilots, using various type of machines tried out the invention at Heston and speak highly of the effectiveness of the device under severe conditions. They claimed Hie invention immediately stopped deliberate spin, and enabled pilots to retain their course perfectly when flying blind in a fog. The device is stated to he successful even on machines nut lifted'-with the slotted wing.
