SEVERE JAPANESE LOSSES. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph .—Copy right.) TOKYO, January 12. Fierce fighting continues west of Liao River to the north-west of Mukden. Several Japanese detachments have been wiped out. The Japanese detachment were surrounded bv well-equipped bandits. The bandits are destroying the railways to prevent the arrival of Japanese reinforcements.
