LINDRUM AND NEWMAN. [United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.] LONDON, January 11. W. A. G'amkin, on behalf of Lind rum and Newman, who are to tour Canada and United States in February, has cabled to the American Billiards’ Association seeking a modification of the rules aiming at giving themselves and the Americans an equal chance of success. Lindrum says that Newman and he have developed cannon play to such an extent they are comment they can hold their own in America, where the most popular game consists exclusively of cannons. LINDRTJM’S FAST SCORING. LONDON, January' 11. In the billiard match, Newman has scored 16,932, including breaks of 226, 407, and 353. Lindrum has scored ,13,263, including breaks of 934 (full), 1508, 478, 202 and 914 (unfinshed). He scored the 914 in twenty-five minutes, including 170, 124, 105, made by a series of nursery cannons, thus giving him a chance of breaking his own record of one thousand scored ih thirtytwo minutes;
