Lloyd’s result was made known today. The total dividend on "A" shares was 15 |per cent, for the year, less tax. Barclay's maintained 14 per cent, dividend on >“B*’ shares. Westminster made a distribution for the year of 18 per cent, and the National Provincial 16 per cent. On the iStock 'Exchange, bank shares continue very strong. Gold is quoted at 120 s 4d. Regarding the banks’ profits reported in the wireless message, the remaining member of the Big Five, the Midland Bank, has declared a dividend ol sixteen per cent., as compared with eighteen per cent, last year.
