The republic of Honduras has declared martial law throughout the country in an effort to .suppress a wide revolutionary movement. The movement lias been caused by the discharge of eight hundred workers by a prominent fruit company. Federal troops have thwarted the attack of a barge Kind of insurgents at San Pedro. Tela is also endangered by the rebels. Other battles have occurred at Santa Cruz, Yojoa and at Choloma Cortes.
