COMMUNIST MENACE
STERN ACTION TO BE TAKEN. BY AUSTRALIAN CABINET. (Australian Press Association.) (Received 10.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, January 5. The “Telegraph” says that the new Government will shortly set up a subcommittee of Cabinet to consider means of dealing with the Communist menace. The object will he a measure of strength of present laws and to determine whether Parliament should pass a special anti-Recl legislation, possibly after the referendum. Mr Lyons, interviewed at Mel bourne said: “All 1 can say for the present is that Cabinet will investigate the Commonwealth laws with a view to deporting foreign agitators.”
