INVERCARGILL, January 3.
, The cricket match between North Otago and Southland, which commenced on Friday was concluded yesterday when North Otago made 193, (Gillies 26, Brown 37, Carrington 42, Davey 34, McLearen 16, Laney 15). Hamilton 4 for 20, Pickard 2 for 38 and McGowan 2 for 30 secured the wickets. Southland replied with 125, (McGowan 44, Hamilton 22, Southern 16, and King 15). Brown 3 for 21, Carrington 2 for 16, and Robertson 2 for ■2l took the wicokets. HAWKE CUP. HAMILTON, January 2. In the Hawke Cup match, Hawkes Bay in the second innings made 144.
