WEDDING BELLS

BUTLAND—OLSEN A wedding of much interest, was solemnised at St. Andrew’s • Cftureh Hokitika yesterday by Rev. G. Naylor when Helen Bruce, third daughter of Mrs, and the late Mr H. Olsen of Park Street was joined in the bonds of holy matrimony to Jules Mnlfroy, fourth■ son of Air and Airs 11 Holland of Gibson Quay.

The bride who was given away bv her brother-in-law, Mr W:lson of Invercargill, wore a charming length frock of cream georgette with fully flared skirt appliqued in cream satin flowers. Her daintily embroidered tulle veil .was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom. She carried P. beautiful bouquet of lemon daisies.

The bride was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Hulcie Rutland (sister of the bridegroom) and Miss Audrey Olsen (sister of the Elide). They were charmingly attired '*> frocks of lemon georgette with tally flared skirts appliqued in lemon satm flowers. They wore pale green summer felt hats and shoes to tone and a sheaf of pale lemon daisies completed their toilet.

The bridegroom was attended by his brother Mr L. Rutland of Wellington and Mr H. Preston of Hokitika.

After the ceremony the 'bride s mother who was smartly attired >» a navy blue satin frock and hat to tone, received the guests at Preston’s tearooms where the wedding breaklast- was held. The church was very prettily decorated by friends of the bride. On leaving the church a guard of honour was formed by members of the AH Saints Tennis Club and members of Hokitika Hockey Club of which the young couple were very prominent members.

Later in the afternoon the happy couple left by car for Grcymouth en route for Auckland where the hon-ey-moon will be spent. The bride s travelling- 'dress was blue -celanese worn under a smartly tailored navy coat and lmt to, match. Their future home will be in Hokitika.
