BANK SHOOTING
VICTIM’S FUNERAL. ~-A (By Telegraph—Per Press Association} FIELDING, Dec. 30 The mortal remains of Bruce McC'orkindale, the victim of the bank tragedy were interred this afternoon at the Terrace End Cemetery. The respect and grief of the whole community were shown by a large cortege which included representatives of all the bank staffs, the Borough Council, School Committees, the Farmer’s Union and other local bodies W'-th which his parents were connected, • EURTON GRANTED FURLOUGH FIELDING, Dec. 30. J. L. Burton, who fired the fatal shot at the late Bruce' McCorkinclale, has been granted furlough by the bank. He has gone to his home at Opunake. '* Burton will be required, to appear before the Magistrate and Coroner for an inuiry and an inquest, the date °f which has hot yet been fixed.
