APPEAL for unison. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) ROME, Dec. 28. A Papal Encyclical has been broadcast from the Vatican Radio Station, entitled “Lux Allux Veritatis;” in the Pope Pius XI. urges the unification of the Protestant Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church with the Roman Catholic Church, under the 'Papacy. The Pope, in his Encyclical, called for unity in all Christendom in order that the present day immorality and unbelief might he combatted. A new mass, to be called the Mass of the Maternity of Mary, is to be ,established for the Church as a last, ing commemoration of this year’s celebration of tlie Anniversary of Ephesus. Addressing himself to the Protestants and to the Eastern Catholics, , the Pontiff said: “We are confident that they are becoming convinced, by history, and that they will be'able to feel, at least, the longing for one Fold under one Shepherd, and- for a return to that true Faith which is jealously conserved, ever secure, and inviolate in the Roman Catholic Church.”
