East Sydney, the United Party candidate, Mr Clasby, has wrested the seat from the Lang Planner,. Mr Ward, while, in Barton, another Lang Planner, Mr Eldxeidge, late member tor Martin, has been defeated by Mr his United Party opponent. The Cook count is not yet complete, though it is expected that.Mr Garden will win. ' ' . Rumours are current that • alleged irregularities here may end to action by the unsuccessful candidate, who is awaiting tne final result before moving. ' ~ In South Sydney the United Party candidate, Mr, Jennings, beat Mr Stewart, the Lang Plan candidate, by over 5000 votes. The seat was formerly held by the. Federal Labour member, Mr E. Riley, sen.
