A SYSTEM OF BARTER. [United Press Association.—By Electrio Telegraph.—Copyright.] BERLIN, December 24. A Russo-German trade agreement has been signed. The details have not been disclosed, but it is known that Cabinet is aiming to obliterate, as far as possible, money' payments from Germany’s- foreign trade, substituting a system of barter.
The Government bought 150,000 tons of rye from the Soviet,' which, with similar transactions involving purchases of various grains, petroleum, flax and furs, will be offset, against the equivalent money value of machinery, plant and other German manufactures.
