WEDDING BELLS
The marriage took place yesterday afternoon at All Saints’ Church, Hokitika, of Elizabeth, only daughter of Mr and Mrs R. Johnston, of Sewell Street, in Charles William, only SOu of Mr and the late Mrs J. L. Fowler of the Commercial Hotel, Revell Street. The bride who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked charming in a champagne ankle-length frock, of lace and georgete, with veil and champagne net to tone. The bride wa s attended by Miss Melva Benvon, who wore a frock of pale blue and lemon floral georgette with hat' and shoes to tone. They also carried beautiful bouquets. Mr T. Seddon carried out the duties of best man. The mother of the bride wore a blue and fawn celanese dress, with hat fi ! 'd shoes to tone. The reception was held at Preston’s where there wa- a large gathering of friends. Mr and Mrs Fowler left later in the day by car for Christchurch.
