Griffith (Chief ■Commissioner of the North West Frontier Province) announced that the Government of India had decided to introduce coaistitutional reforms in the province immediately -and steps would be taken to constitute, a local legislature as a preliminary formation of Governors of ‘ the Province. The United Provinces Government are curbing the Congress no-rent campaign among peasants, by banning meetings and arresting the lenders who defy the now ordinance.
