GREY MUNICIPAL SALE YARDS. Messrs McMahon and Lee report, having hold their first Sale at the above yards on. Monday, and their entry consisted off:—6 fat bullocks and 11 prime heifers from South Westland. The quality of 'these cattle was very favourably commented upon, being considered the choicest line of .beef which have been in these yards since they were opened. Owing to the bulk of the butchers having filled up with their requirements for ’Xmas trade the demand was not keen, however the above entry was cleared at prices which must Be regarded as satisfactory, compared with markets in other centres. The following sales were made:
1-fat. bullock at £9 os; 1 at £8 12s 6d; 2 at £8; 1 at £7 15s: 1 at £7 2s 6d, 1 fat heifer at £9; 1 at £8 15s; 2 at £8 ss; 2 at £7 17s 6d; 2 at £7 10s; 2 at £7 7s Gd ; 1 fat cow at £6 7s 6d.
