MOVE TO STOP THE ROT. [Halted Press Association.—By Eleotra Telegraph,—Copyright, J TORONTO, December 25, Following a meeting of bankers with Mr Bennett (Premier of Canada), at Ottawa last week, when Canada’s adverse exchange situation was discussed, Mr J. A. McLeod, the President of the Canadian Bankers’ Association, in a statement to-day,, said that immediate steps would be taken, through the '■ Banks and Brokers’ Trust Companies and the investment houses to control the purchase abroad of securities by residents of Canada.
