HUGE THEFT
BANK MANAGER’S LAPSE. (Australian Press Association.) (Received this day at 9.25 a.m) PERTH, December 19. Allan Baxter, aajed 36 years, manager of the State Savings Bank at Collie, was committed for trial on a charge of having stolen £36,708. Evidence was given that Baxter had forged a depositor’s signature and had admitted making bets.
