CUT IN RATIONS
BY (HOSPITAL BOARD. i_by Telegraph, Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, December 16. Replying to a deputation representing the -Relief Workers’ (Section of the General Labourers’ Union with reference to the curtailment of rations by the Charitable Aid Board, the Health -Minister, .Mr Young, said that the problem had grown so big that it had get beyond the social relief agencies' of the Hospital. It was affecting people whom, there was no doubt, the original hospital relief measures were never designed for. Apart from ithe question of getting over the Christmas period, the who*© problem would have to be dealt with along lines which would give a wider and more comprehensive measure of relief. It seemed that all agencies would have to come together and avojd overlapping. The Cabinet had been considering the position, and lie hoped that, before long, something wtould be evolved to- put the whole matter on a. better basis,
