Silver is quoted: Standard, spot 19 13-16 pence per ounce, fine 21 3-8 pence. Gold is 118 s 9cl.
SYDNEY WOOD SALE
SYDNEY, Dec. 15
At to-day’s wool sale 10,628 bales were offered, and 9,761 were sold, also 911 bales privately. The market was firm at yesterday’s rates. Greasy merino fleece sold to 24-J pence. The average price for the last Sydney series was £2 18s per hale, or .nine point sixty-four pence per pound.
