NELSON RESULTS.

In his interim, report on . the Proficiency Examinations, jdie Senior Inspector, Mr T. J. Griffin, soys The candidates, for the ’most part, entered upon the examination in an igitated frame of mind, due to disturbing propaganda that had emanated form outside sources. ' _ •

The results,.he states, have been highly satisfactory, however. The public school results show that 672 pat, for,the* , examination, Of these 528' gained proficiency, while 109 gained competency, and 35 failed'. Thus 78.6 per cent, gained proficiency certificates, 16.2 per cent, competency, nitd 5.2 phi* cent, failed These re- - suits, the Inspector says, must be regarded ns distinctly good.
