The judges for the annual festival in ■May next-, were appointed as follows: Elocution; Mr Barton Ginger, Wellington. Music: Mr F. A. Bullock, Christchurch. Dancing: Mrs A. Bartrum, Christchurch. It was decided to give special prizes of one guinea to the most promising juvenile performers in the pianoforte and violin sections. It was also decided to include additional instrumental items in the open section. A discussion took place in regard to strengthening the finance for next festival, and the matter was referred <to the newly ejected committee.
