Following on the Bengal National Congress decision, |he United Provinces’ National Congress Committee have challenged the Government by authorising the Congress representatives in the districts of Raebareli, Etawa'h, Cawnpore and Unoa to start the “No Rent’’ campaign among the peasants under the guise of championing their rights. The Congress's has exploited the agrarian situation in the United Provinces. It has demanded the remission of aJF rents, and has ..refused to compromise with the Government. ’
The Government’s measures to meet the new threat against law and order will be put into operation immediately.
