APPEAL PROBABLE. IRREGULARITY IN VOTING. • (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) DUNEDIN, December 4. Should* Sir Charles Statham, the Speaker in the House, hold his majority over Mr ‘Neilson for Dunedin Central, an appeal -to upset the election on the grounds of irregularity is probable. It is alleged that, at a city booth, an elector was handed a . voting paper oil which Mr Neilson’s name had been crossed out. The elector protested and the paper .-wasinitialled, hy the deputy returning officer. /
