GRUESOME MURDER

One of the most gruesome murders for which, mari-fcal jealousy is resrp-urr-sible is that of a young photographer, Louis Brunet, allegedly the lover of a Madame Monvault, • the wife of a night watchman. Brunet disappeared several days ago, and Monvault reportedly made a statement to the police that he had fulfilled his threat to wrap Rrunes in iron netting, attach an iron weight to his neck, and throw him in the Seine. Rene Plisset, a supposed accomplice, told a sensational story of torturing Brunet for twenty minutes before be strangled him to death with a/towel. Plisset, handcuffed, guided the police to a spot on the banks of, the Seine, and stood watching while a djivter descended and found in the mud Brunet’s body, resembling a /grotesque mummy encased in steel netting.
