POLICE STRUGGLE
POSSESSION OF KNIFE. CASE IN CHRISTCHURCH. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 4. A story of a struggle for a sheath knife early this morning, in a right-of-way behind the Regent Theatre, was told in. the Magistrate’s Court by Com stable Wells. . Describing the arrest of Artmir Bridge Collyns, aged 25 years, a porter, on. a charge of being a rogue and vagabond, in. that he was armed with a knife with felonious intent, the police alleged that the man had been seen loitering in a suspicious manner, and had house-breaking implements m his possession. He straggled hard in attempting to resist arrest. Gilbert Summers Towers, aged 28 years, a club steward, was charged with converting a motor-car to his own use. 'The police alleged that Towers was the accomplice of Collyns, and had been seen near the right-of-way. Roth eases weffe ajourned until December 11th.
