Sir Stanley Argyle launched a motion which was based upon the Government’s tactics in connection with unemployment relief. LANG PLAN FACTION. POLICY SPEECH BY MR BEASLEY. SYDNEY, December .3. Mr J. Beasley, leader of what is known as the Lang Plan faction, delivered a policy speech in the Sydney Town Hall to-night. His party has candidates standing in all metropolitan and some country seats, and also three nominees for the Senate. Mr Beasley favours nationalisation of hanking, complete control of finance by the Commonwealth Bank whose object should he “to see that the real wealth of the people, as measured by goods, is covered with sufficient current credit to allow trade, commerce and employment to continue.” This is the essence of the Lang financial plan. Ho contended that the Commonwealth Bank was now a terrible weapon of oppression and destruction. He ■advocated co operative marketing being controlled by producers, fixation of prices and profits, tariff for the protection of secondary industries, and a defence policy for homo defence only. LEGISLATURE COUNCIL. LANG TO ASK FOR. ADDITIONS. SYDNEY, December 4. The “Herald” .reiterates (that Mr Lang intends to approach the Govern-or-General, upon resumption of Parliament. and request; twenty-five additional Labour appointments in the Legislative Council.
