PECULIAR CIRCUMSTANCES. by telegraph —ter tress Association) WAIPUKURAU, Dec 3. - At six last night, George Davies, retired, aged 63, was found in a field on Hautamu Road, Waipukurau, suffering evidently from the result of an explosion, and dying on the way to the hospital. There was no weapon or material found adjacent. At an inquest this morning, a son, Maurice George, gave evidence of identification. He last saw his father alive on election morning, when he left to vote. He was in the usual state of health. The inquest was adjourned for one week. Deceased leaves a widow and family of six.
