ATTEMPTED MURDER
CHARGE AGAINST DOMESTIC. SUICIDE ALSO ALLEGED. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 3. A chai'ge of attempted murder was preferred against Gertrude AlcConagliey, a domestic, aged twenty-seven years, before Mr E. D. Mosley S.M. The woman was also charged with attemping to commit suicide on November 26th., and was remanded until December Bth. without bail. ‘ The woman appeared on attempted suicide charge last Thursday, when the police stated that she liad jumped into the river Avon with a child, Mervyn AlcCorfaghey, in her arms.
