Miss Peggy Salaman, the tiviatrix, arrived by boat at Southampton today. She hopes to fly solo to Croydon to-morrow for an official reception, but meanwhile her machine is undergoing airworthiness tests.
GLIDER LOOPS THE LOOP
RUGBY, November 30
The feat of looping the loop in a British glider was performed by Mr Longmore at Balesdean, Brighton, yesterday, at a height of only 400 feet, this constituting a world record for an ’engineiess aircraft.
LONG DISTANCE RECORD.
RUGBY, Nov. 25,
The Royal Air Force Grant Fairey Napier monoplane, which is to attempt a long distance record flight to the Cape about Christmas, left Malta this morning in continuation of its journey from Egypt, and reached Marseilles early this afternoon, after a flight of nearly 1000 miles. It will continue the journey on Friday.
