TWO HOTELS AT RUSSELL. ißy Telegraph —Per Press Association) WHANGAR-EI, November 30. Fire at Russell at 8-o’clock this morning destroyed the well-known private hotel “The Gables” and “The Duke of Marlborough” hotel. The adjoining beach was strewn with furniture saved by willing helpers. A bucket brigade saved Mr G. F. Baker’s residence next to the hotel. The Police Station was badly scorched.
