CHR ISTCJHURCVH TOUR SUGGESTED

The Secretary of the Southern SubAssociation has received a letter from Mr G. S. A. Bilcliff, hon. secretary of the Christchurch Boys’ Cricket Association, stating that the Christchurch Executive had suggested that a team of boys from Hokitika, and one from Greymouth should visit Christchurch, and play matches against the Christchurch boys. The teams would be required to leave for Christchurch on December 12th, matches to be played on 'Monday and Tuesday, December 14th and 15th respectively, and return on WGuiiesday. The boys would be billited in Christchurch, each player being expected to pay his own travelling expenses. A team from Greymouth and Hok-ti-ka visited' Christchurch lit 1929, and played against Christchurch, while in 1930 return matches were played against a Christchurch team visiting Tiokitika. Good results having been secured by such visits, it is hoped that a good response will he the result of the present suggestion. It is recommended by the -Southern Association that the team be two representatives from Ross, Ruatapu, yßiinu and Ivanieri, and four from Hokitika, The names of the representative/ should reach the Secretary, Mr C. J. King, not later than December Ist, 1931.’
