THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 26th. 1) A’s broadcast this evening will bt devoted to a relay from"'-the Auckland Town Had of a concert by the Royal Auckland Choir, conducted sby Dr A. W. Thomas. Many interesting items will be given. The soloists include Mrs F. J. Ewen, Mr Arthur 'Ripley, and Mr W. Gemmell From 2YA this evening at 7.40, Dr Findlay, Medical Officer of the Health Df jJartmeiit, will give a leciurevte entitled “Personal and Community Health . —-past and present.” The programme to be presented from 2YA /studio will feature the Etude, 'Quartet in excerpts from ‘‘The Quaker Giri' ” All the principal solos, duets and quartettes from th’s popular musical comedy will be included. Miss Gracie Kerr and Mr James Cooke will delight listeners in two humorous sketches. The Salon Orchestra will supply the incidental music. The lecturer on 3YA’s International Programme will be Mr L. R. R. Denny. i M.A., R.R.H.S., speaking on “Anglo— French Relationships.” 'Silent day at 4YA. FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 27th. Several new artists are making their appearances on lYA’s programme this evening. Mr Abel Rowe, a very well known 'tenor, is 'singing some of his own compositions, and Mrs Annie L. •Lewis (contralto) will be heard in a > groups of ballads. Saxophone and novelty piano items will be given by the WattersIRae Duo and other artists appearing will be Mrs G. T. Brian in popular songs at the piano, and Mr Cyril Towsey, solo pianist. A feature of 2YA’s programme wifi by the Ante a Trio of male voices, specialising in Maori folk songs. Mr Claude Moss (baritone), who organised the trio, will also be heard in the solo “Kamate.” Mr Edwin Dennis ittnor) and L\liss Ena Rapley (soprano) will' please listeners with solos and duets from the musical comedy “Rejuvenation,’,’ by 'Wynn and Andre. This play has not yet been heard in New Zealand. Mr J. A. Blackwood will contribute piano-aecordeon numbers. The ■Orchestrina will contribute light orchestral numbers. Misses Norma and Margaret Middleton, playmg violin and piano respectively, will give recitals of Scottish and Av ish. folk songs tut 3YA. Mrs 'Sen. Jowett (mezzo-contralto), Mrs Josephine Brosnahan (mezzo-soprano) ’and Mr Claude Burrows (baritone) will be the assisting vocalists* with the Two Rascals in vaudeville turns and tile SDub'o Octet. The whole programme will be of a popular nature. Variety will also be the keynote of 4YA’.< programme, which will be. of an old tilne nature. Dagg’s Band will intersperse the programme with tunes' of other days—lancers, barn dances, Irish quadrilles and waltzes. The Happy Four will sing many old favourites, including a number of' negro songs. Mr J. B. Flynn will give humorous recitations.
